{"id":5465,"date":"2026-04-07T17:56:55","date_gmt":"2026-04-07T12:56:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/donishnoma.tj\/?content_id=5465"},"modified":"2026-04-07T17:56:56","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T12:56:56","slug":"black-sea","status":"publish","type":"content","link":"https:\/\/donishnoma.tj\/?c_id=5465&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Black Sea"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Black Sea<\/strong> is connected in the northeast, through the <strong>Kerch Strait<\/strong>, to the <strong>Sea of Azov<\/strong>; in the southwest, through the <strong>Bosporus Strait<\/strong>, to the <strong>Sea of Marmara<\/strong>; and through the <strong>Dardanelles<\/strong> to the <strong>Mediterranean Sea<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has an area of <strong>422,000 square kilometers<\/strong>, a length of <strong>1,150 kilometers<\/strong>, and a maximum width of <strong>580 kilometers<\/strong>. Its average depth is <strong>1,240 meters<\/strong>, and its greatest depth reaches <strong>2,245 meters<\/strong>. The total length of its coastline is <strong>4,090 kilometers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The western and northwestern shores are generally <strong>low and flat<\/strong>, though in some places they rise into <strong>steep cliffs<\/strong>. By contrast, the eastern, southern, and southern Crimean coasts are largely <strong>mountainous<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its largest bays include <strong>Yagorlyk, Tendra, Dzharylhach, Karkinits, Kalamita, and Feodosia<\/strong> (in Ukraine), <strong>Varna<\/strong> and <strong>Burgas<\/strong> (in Bulgaria), and <strong>Sinop<\/strong> and <strong>Samsun<\/strong> along the southern coast in Turkey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Black Sea has relatively few islands. The largest are <strong>Dzharylhach<\/strong> (62 km\u00b2), <strong>Berezan<\/strong>, and <strong>Zmiinyi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the major rivers flowing into the Black Sea are the <strong>Danube, Dnieper, and Dniester<\/strong>.
