The Chief Scientific Editorial Board of the Tajik National Encyclopedia (17 Ne’mat Qaroboev Avenue, Dushanbe, Tajikistan) is a scientific and publishing institution under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Until 1991, it was known as the Chief Scientific Editorial Board of the Tajik Soviet Encyclopedia. It was established in 1968 under the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of the Tajik SSR and was incorporated into the State Committee of the Tajik SSR for Publishing, Printing, and Book Trade in 1974. The main areas of activity of the Chief Scientific Editorial Board include the preparation, editing, and publication of general and specialized encyclopedias, explanatory dictionaries, glossaries, encyclopedic reference books, and other similar works.

Throughout its activity, the Chief Scientific Editorial Board has published many works, including: the Tajik Soviet Encyclopedia (TSE, in 8 volumes, 1978–1988); the encyclopedia Tajik SSR (1974, 1984); the Encyclopedia of Tajik Literature and Art (in 3 volumes, 1988, 1989, 2004); the Encyclopedia of Agriculture of Tajikistan (in 2 volumes, 1989, 1991); the Khujand Encyclopedia (1999, in Russian); the Dushanbe Encyclopedia (2004, in Russian); the Concise Household Encyclopedia (1988); the encyclopedic reference book The Great October Socialist Revolution (1987); Leninnameh-yi Tojik (1990, in Russian); One Thousand and One Deeds (an encyclopedic reference book about participants from Tajikistan in the Great Patriotic War, of which 3 volumes have been published); Encyclopedia of Persian-Tajik Prose (1986); the Medical Dictionary (in 5 volumes); Abu Ali ibn Sina’s al-Qanun (The Canon), published for the first time in Tajik in 5 books; the Book of Memory (2005, about the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War from the former Stalinabad region); the Tajik National Encyclopedia (11 volumes, 2011–2025); the Concise Encyclopedia for Children and Adolescents (2013); and others.
